We were very fortunate to get tickets to a number of events at the Olympic and Paralympic games.\u00a0 Tim went to the badminton and hockey events with Jay, because that was a long day finishing in an open-air arena, but Justine and Nicholas went with Tim to the handball, volleyball, table tennis, swimming, athletics, sitting volleyball, and wheelchair basketball.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere at the games was amazing, particularly whenever there were British participants.\u00a0 Unfortunately we saw the British volleyball team lose, but Ellie Symonds won gold and a number of the Brits got to the finals of the athletics.\u00a0 Even when the participants were from other countries with few supporters, the crowds were cheering everyone on.<\/p>\n

We’re not sure Nicholas appreciated the hoops that we had to go through to get into the park and to make sure he was able to attend, though …<\/p>\n
