Unfortunately, Nicholas was readmitted to hospital on 22 March, because his weight had dropped significantly since birth. He had not been feeding properly because he has a tied tongue which prevented him from getting enough milk.
When he got to hospital, the doctors decided that for a short period he needed to be fed directly into his stomach via a nasal tube. He was hooked up to heart rate and blood pressure machines and slept in a cot that was far too big for him, while Justine slept on a sofa bed in the same room.
Since then, Nicholas has been fed every three hours and has been regaining weight. He likes to wake Justine up in the middle of the night as often as possible.
Tim cannot stay overnight but is visiting Nicholas and Justine every day, staying as late as he can before he is shown out the door!
