Getting involved in village life

After getting frustrated with the lack of information available before the carnival this year, we’ve offered to help out by running the website and general online presence.  Of course, this also means getting involved with the committees, knowing about events and turning up to them, helping out with the crowds and marshalling … what are we getting ourselves into?

Singing random songs

Nicholas has taken to singing random songs throughout the day. His favourite is ‘Doh, a deer’ (which sometimes gets shortened to “email deer”), but he has also been singing ‘Consider Yourself’, ‘Chim Chim Cheree’ and ‘Chitty Bang Bang’. At least it’s an improvement from ‘Lily the Pink’!

A day at Peppa Pig World

To celebrate Nicholas’s second birthday on Monday, we’ve come for a short holiday to the New Forest. Today we went to Paulton’s theme park, which includes loads of rides themed around Peppa Pig, as well as other rides and playgrounds.

Muddly puddles

Just across the road from our house is Park Corner, an area of grass which is bordered by a woodland.  During the autumn, the ground was full of conkers, which Nicholas liked to collect.  He also loved scrunching through the leaves.  Now that the weather’s turned a bit wet, we still like going over to Park Corner, but now the attraction is Peppa Pig’s favourite – muddy puddles! Visiting Kelsey Park

We visited Andrew and Anne today, along with Matt, Gaby and Ellion.  After lunch we went to Kelsey Park, where there is a big lake with lots of ducks and geese, and also a big playground.  It was very busy indeed.  Nicholas and Ellion went on the swings, and then Nicholas enjoyed playing on the roundabout.
